August 31 - September 20, 2023
Opening Reception: Saturday September 9th: 2-5 pm
Diana Zasadny painting on location. in conjunction with the ADAC Gallery HOP
This exhibition will focus on the expansiveness of the Canada landscape and thus with the variety of our fauna and flora, with an emphasis on our Western Canadian artists. Since Alberta and Saskatchewan are so known for their big skies and expansive land, we aim to highlight the different approaches and influences of our great land on various artists, and how they choose to relay their story. From subtilties in the prairies of the grass lands to the ever-changing clouds & light that our big skies offer, each artist can find an ever-changing dialogue with their environment and thus constant exploration throughout time. The artists invite the viewer into their own world for a snap-shot in time and to be lost for a moment in their world, and to celebrate our beautiful country through their unique lens.
Artists included in the exhibition are: David Alexander, William Duma, Ted Godwin, Kenneth Lochhead, Dorothy Knowles, Brent Laycock, Jim Stokes, Joice M. Hall, Diana Zasadny, and Le Shi.
